                                                          Dr. Nicholas Ong

Currently the Head of Keyboard at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and University of the Arts, Dr. Ong received a Doctorate in Piano Performance at the Juilliard School with Robert McDonald. He has won prizes in competitions such as the Yvonne Lefébure International Piano Competition, and was praised in The New York Times for his "firm rubber-ball touch and bounce" and Le Figaro for "his astonishing virtuosity." A performer in high demand, he has been on the jury of several competitions, including the ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition, the ASA-BIMA International Piano Competition, the Singapore Steinway Youth Piano Competition, and the Singapore Performers' Festival.
