Bui first garnered international acclaim at just 17 years old when he won 6th Prize at the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition, as well as being the youngest contestant. He also secured 4th Prize at the 12th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, and won prizes in the

Van Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Aarhus International Piano Competition. A student of Dang Thai Son, Bui released his debut CD in 2023 under the Chopin Institute's Blue Series. Having studied at Oberlin Conservatory of Music and New England Conservatory, Bui has performed with orchestras such as the Warsaw National Philharmonic and the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, among others.
