                                                               Dr. Elaine Yap

Dr. Yap is currently a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts at Michigan State University, and was a Graduate Assistant Pianist at Michigan as well as Staff Pianist at New England Conservatory where she completed graduate studies. Among others, she has won the New England Conservatory's Marion Rubin 31' Piano Honors Competition, Michigan State University Piano Concerto Competition, and the Singapore National Piano and Violin Competition. Her teachers include Meng-Chieh Liu, Margarita Shevchenko and Albert Tiu.
